REFLECTION

Group: Bullying

Group Leader – Hussain Rajkotwala:

Eumind has been an insightful learning journey for us. Bullying is a serious issue and learning about it has been a great life experience for us . This acquired knowledge will definitely change our actions and behavior towards our peers. We will also certainly be more empathetic towards victims of bullying. Interacting with victims and other students allowed us to see bullying with a fresh pair of eyes. The interviews introduced us to the varied views of other people. Comprehending and understanding these new views was an enriching experience.

Eumind this year has taught us a lot and has been a great learning experience

for us. We learnt many new things during this time. I was also really excited

when we met our intercultural peers from Netherlands. We had a couple of

video conferences through zoom which were quite eventful and informative,

thus living to our topic of FRIENDSHIP . We learnt various things such as their

cultures, cuisine, the games they play, their hobbies and many other things

about them and Netherlands. Our interactions though short lived were quite

fun. These, along with the teamwork and cooperation of the group, went very

well.

Group: Friendships

Group Member – Adit:

Over the past few months, I have experienced a lot through Eumind. The

projects and interactions have been quite insightful. We broadened the

boundaries of our knowledge and indulged in interesting social activities. The

contents of the project (taking interviews, researching, planning), which

allowed us to dive deeply into the bond of friendship, has helped me get a

better understanding of the friendships both in my country and that of my

intercultural peers. Although this pandemic proposed quite a challenge to us

initially, we made sure the quality of our content remained consistent and top-

notch. Our interactions with our foreign friends undoubtedly went very well.

Both sides were curious about each other and the constant flow of inquisitive

questions and fulfilling answers let us learn a lot about each other, despite

being halfway across the world. Moreover, my group members have been very

friendly and understanding which enhanced this experience and made it even

more enjoyable. Teamwork and close cooperation have allowed me to

establish bonds with my teammates. After all is said and done, I do have a few

regrets about this project. I wish I had conducted my interviews better and

found a way to surpass my obstacles. Additionally, wish that I had been more

interactive and social with my intercultural friends during our few conference.

Group: Student Teacher Relations

Group Leader – AYAANSH SOLANKI

As an Indian student studying in St. Mary’s School in

Mumbai, participating in the Eumind intercultural program was a life-changing

experience. One of the most fulfilling aspects of this program was conducting

research on “Student Teacher Relations.” Through this research, I was able to

understand the importance of positive student-teacher relationships in

enhancing students’ academic performance, motivation and self-esteem. The

research helped me understand the complexities and nuances of the student-

teacher relationship.

The Eumind program allowed me to develop critical thinking skills, work as part

of a team and understand the importance of cultural sensitivity. I also had the

opportunity to present my findings to a diverse audience and engage in

thought-provoking discussions.

Overall, this program was a very fulfilling experience, and I will cherish it for

the rest of my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of a program

that challenged me to think deeply about the student-teacher relationship, and

helped me understand the importance of cultural sensitivity and empathy in

education.
