For my third year in EUMIND, I didn't think I would be as involved and interested in my project this year- but just as always, the beauty of this project continues to prove me wrong. Our task this year was to highlight Indian school life by the medium of your parents, grandparents, teachers and friends. The project allowed us to explore the kind of education system we have beyond the four walls of our school.

REFLECTION

School Life

Manashree Kamble – Group Leader

For my third year in EUMIND, I didn’t think I would be as involved and interested in my project this year- but just as always, the beauty of this project continues to prove me wrong. Our task this year was to highlight Indian school life by the medium of your parents, grandparents, teachers and friends. The project allowed us to explore the kind of education system we have beyond the four walls of our school.
While most of our communication took place the same way everything was done these days- online and by Whatsapp, every time we would all come together, be it the Indian team or along with our Dutch partners, we would learn something new- sometimes about each other, sometimes about the more unknown aspects of our own culture.
As a Grade 10 student, this was probably my last year being able to actively participate in EUMIND, I can joyfully say, it was  the most memorable one.

Genartions
Gender related roles

From The Tech In Charge, Yashvardhan
My responsibility was to manage the technical department. For better presentation, I combined the interviews I conducted with the other group members into a single video. After all of this, I posted the information we had gathered such as videos, and other pertinent information on the Weebly website.
Even though conducting interviews was tedious, I learned more about my family, their upbringing, and their childhood through them. I am now able to relate to them and their viewpoints more. My ability to use technology has improved as a result of compiling videos and uploading information to Weebly. I am now more tech savvy and familiar with new features.
Overall, this project went off without a hitch. Everyone worked well together and made time from their demanding academic schedules. Everyone tried to reply immediately.

Family Life

From the Interviewer, Kiaan Parekh of Grade 9 C
I  will be sharing my student exchange program trip experience. First thing that i experienced was the culture of Netherlands, Europe. I also was able to stay away from home for 7 days without my parents. My buddies parents took good care of me , i did not feel home sick.
I would like to thank my buddy and his parents for taking care of me and making me a part of their family. My overall experience in the Club od EUMIND was excellent. We participated in various activities. There were meaningful discussions about various topics. Our nationalities and language was never a barrier in our interactions, We took our Dutch buddies to our classrooms for lectures and they realised how indian education system works. They were awestruck with the school discipline. But overall they loved Mumbai as a city. They found it a bit disturbing in the beginning but overall a good experience.

Spare Time

From the Group Leader – Gauri
As the leader of the group, I found myself writing numerous summaries and reports for the project as my team members frantically scrambled to send me images, audio recordings, and videos. It was difficult for me at first to make sense of it all. Overall, I believe I’ve improved my ability to work under pressure and acquire the help of others. If I had to do the project again, I would definitely make sure that all of the work was completed well before the deadline.

Healthy Life

From the Group Leader- Navya
I was the group leader and the video editor for this year’s EUMIND project. As a leader I was incharge of making sure the work was complete and uploading all our research work and as the video editor I compiled all the videos and made sure they were ready in time to be uploaded.
I loved learning about how other cultures think about the same topic and I loved interacting and working with other students from over the world, this was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I also learned about how importance and views of having a healthy life have changed over a period of time.
I loved being a part of this project and I am very grateful of the learnings I got from it,

Mass Media

From the Group Leader- Manasvi Sharma
Journey of Eumind in the Academic year 2022-23 has been full of experiences, never experienced before. I got to learn a lot while I was a part of Eumind, and I loved to be a part of Mass media Eumind group.

While researching on the topic of Mass Media, I was amazed to learn how it evolved from postal letters, to telegrams, from telegrams to newspapers, from newspapers to radios, from radios to analog phones, from analog phones to televisions, from televisions to mobile phones, from mobile phones to internet, and it continues to evolve even further.I’m wondering, as whats going to be the future of mass media in the further evolutions to come.Considering how the data science, data analytics & artificial intelligence are shaping up in the current generation, all these would be a crucial role to play in the future of mass media.

My research on Mass Media has been equally fascinating. Mass media plays a significant role in our dai;y lives, it helps us to stay connected, yet updated on whats across the globe.
